Circle, the operator of the stablecoin USD Coin (USDC), has announced the launch of the asset on Dapper Labs’ Flow blockchain.
The platform, which was launched back in 2019, runs well-known NFT applications such as CryptoKitties and NBA Top Shot, as well as many other dApps.
Jeremy Allaire, co-founder and CEO of Circle, said:
“Flow has emerged as the go-to destination for thriving communities of developers, artists, creators and brands building their own blockchain-based digital media and entertainment experiences.”
Notably, USDC is available on the Ethereum, Algorand, Solana, Stellar, Tron, Hedera and Avalanche networks.
There are currently nearly 50 billion USDC in circulation.
