Muse Singer Makes Investment in Crypto Startup Pebble

Matthew Bellamy, member of the British rock band Muse, has invested in startup Pebble, which has recently raised $6.2 million in seed funding.

According to the company, other participants in the funding round include Y Combinator, Lightshed Ventures, Cadenza Capital, East Ventures, Orange DAO and Global Founders Capital, Odell Beckham Jr. of the National Football League, and Richard Ma, CEO of blockchain audit company Quantstamp.

Lthe largest investment was made by Lightshed Ventures. As a result of the round, the startup’s valuation has reached $65 million.

Pebble is developing an application that allows users to receive 5-9% per annum on deposits in USDC.

The project developers have said:

“The user deposits dollars into a savings account, which Pebble converts to USDC. Subsequently, the coins are transferred to credit partners in the form of a loan. In return, the startup receives a commission, the amount of which depends on the market demand for the asset.”
