Crypto exchange OKX has won a license in Dubai and has announced that it plans to open a headquarters in the emirate.

The license, which has been issued by the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority, will allow OKX to provide “an approved list of products and services to qualified investors and financial service providers in the UAE in a secure and regulated manner.”

The exchange Director of Financial Markets Lennix Lai has promised to continue to “innovate within a regulated framework” and has noted the prospects for the fast-growing market in the MENA region.

FTX and Binance have earlier received similar licenses in Dubai.
