Chainlink Will Not Back Ethereum Forks

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The team developers behind the decentralized oracle network Chainlink have announced that the project does not plan to support any future potential Ethereum forks on the Proof-of-Work (PoW) algorithm after the merger of the main network with the Beacon Chain.

They have written:

“This is consistent with both the Ethereum Foundation’s decision and the wider community’s social consensus decision to upgrade the Ethereum blockchain to Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus.”

They have assured the protocol and its services will continue to operate during and after Ethereum’s transition to PoS, which is expected to happen in September.
