Ethereum Breaks Above $1,800

The price of Ethereum, the second largest cryptocurrency by capitalization, yesterday broke above the $1,800 barrier, according to Coingecko.
At the moment, the asset has slightly fallen below this level, trading above $1,700. The price increase is accompanied by a surge in trading volume.
The price of Bitcoin has laso exceeded $24,000. At the moment, the leading crypto is trading at $23,853.
According to Goinglass, over the past 24 hours, $167 million worth of positions have been liquidated in the futures market. Of this amount, Bitcoin accounted for $40 million, and Ethereum for $79.6 million.
