Reading Time: < 1 minute

An unknown hacker has hacked the contract of the cross-chain bridge of the QANplatform platform and stolen more than $1 million in QANX tokens, which has made the price of the asset fall by almost 94%.

According to PeckShield specialists, the hacker exchanged assets for about 3,090 BNB (around $0.8 million) and about 256 ETH ($0.3 million) and then transferred the funds to the crypto mixer Tornado Cash.

Experts from BlockSec have noted the hacker used a vulnerability of the Profanity tool to create personalized “vanity addresses” (vanity address). It is important to remember that a similar bug was used to deploy the protocol.

BlockSec believes several attackers have already taken advantage of this bug.
