Turkey Will Confiscate FTX-Related Assets

The Turkish authorities are exploring different options for the confiscation of suspicious assets that may be associated with FTX, whereas the law enforcement agencies of the country have launched an investigation into Sam Bankman-Fried.

According to the Financial Crimes Investigation Commission, the Istanbul Prosecutor General’s Office will soon issue permission for a more thorough investigation.

In addition, the agency has given the green light to the confiscation of property and other assets that may be directly or indirectly related to FTX, whose company filed for bankruptcy on November 11.

On November 14, the MASAK launched an investigation into the activities of the local branch of the trading platform, FTX Turkey.
