Former FTX.US President Brett Harrison Accuses Bankman-Fried of Pressure
Brett Harrison, former CEO of FTX.US, has accused, Sam Bankman-Fried, founder of its parent company, of “gaslighting and manipulating” during their interactions during the development of the US unit.
According to him, the conflict that arose between them on the subject of the dependence of the US “daughter” on the parent company also led to the unregulated hostility of Bankman-Fried and, as a result, to the actual removal of the former head of FTX.US from making key decisions.
The controversy arose in Harrison’s sixth month on the job, when Harrison began strongly advocating independence for the division’s executive, legal, and development teams, which the SBF disagreed with.
The founder of the exchange turned out to be “stubborn and vicious” in a situation where his authority was called into question.
