The Solana Foundation has launched a real-time blockchain carbon footprint tracking feature in collaboration with the TryCarbonara platform.

This tracker will measure the performance of the blockchain, taking into account factors such as throughput of individual validators and network changes.

The free tracker provides detailed data, with the Solana Foundation hoping to set a new standard for emissions tracking.

They plan to add new features to the tracker in the future. On a related note, Helium wireless network has completed its transition to the Solana blockchain, creating almost 1 million NFTs.
