Crypto Startup Worldcoin Launches Zero Fee Wallet
Worldcoin, a crypto startup founded by Sam Altman, has recently launched an iOS and Android-based ‘gas-free’ cryptocurrency wallet, World App.
This wallet supports a range of cryptocurrencies, such as USDC, DAI, ETH, WDC and WBTC, and is based on the Polygon project.
It also uses World ID for authentication, a system which makes use of zero-knowledge proof technology to distinguish between real people and bots.
The World ID system requires users to verify their identity with either a phone number or biometric data, so as to be able to make commission-free transactions.
Users without a World ID can use the app, but with a basic fee. This wallet is integrated with a few centralized exchanges, such as MoonPay and Ramp, and also includes a Uniswap DEX-based asset conversion function.
