Number of Cardano Hodlers Jumps by 170% in a Year
Since September 2021, the volume of cryptocurrency controlled by whale wallets has been at its highest level. Cardano (ADA) saw a fall to $0.264 on August 31, leading to its capitalization decreasing 3.8% to $9.289 billion.
However, this has not deterred long-term investors, as the number of ADA hodlers has grown by 170% to 2.65 million in the past year.
Other top cryptocurrency projects have seen similar growth in their hodler base, with Litecoin (LTC) seeing an increase of 100% to 4.9 million, Ethereum (ETH) increasing by 44.2% to 73.9 million, Bitcoin (BTC) up 17.6% to 33.6 million, and Dogecoin (DOGE) up 26.4%.
The only cryptocurrency project to experience a decrease in its long-term hodler count is Chainlink (LINK), with the number of wallets holding LINK for more than 12 months down 2.98% to 455,000.
