Ripple CEO Urges SEC to Investigate Itself

In response to the SEC’s X-account hacking incident, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse suggested that the regulator should investigate itself.

He also acknowledged the creativity of the Twitter crypto community with their memes.

Ripple Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty cited the SEC’s July 2023 cybersecurity rule, which requires organizations to disclose details of a hacker attack within four days.

He urged the SEC to follow their own rules and provide transparency about the incident.

Meanwhile, Coinbase CSO Philip Martin offered assistance to the SEC in improving the cybersecurity of social networks.
