Crypto.com Says it is Not Facing Obstacles to Enter South Korea

Crypto.com has refuted a recent report from a local media outlet claiming that they have faced obstacles in entering the South Korean crypto market.

According to the report, South Korea’s financial regulator may have delayed the approval of a local entity’s leadership change, which could potentially impact Crypto.com’s plans to launch a trading platform in the country.

However, a spokesperson for Crypto.com has stated that this is merely a procedural formality and will not affect their scheduled launch date of April 29.

The company had previously acquired OK-BIT, a locally licensed cryptocurrency exchange, in 2022.
