Jenny Johnson, CEO at financial giant Franklin Templeton, recently doubled down on her enthusiasm for blockchain technology during a Bloomberg interview.

The discussion, which took place at the Milken Institute Global Conference, covered a range of hot topics, including tokenization and artificial intelligence.

Johnson, a self-proclaimed “huge fan” of blockchain, described a company experiment that pitted traditional methods against blockchain for processing account records.

The results, according to Johnson, were eye-opening. “Running it on blockchain was significantly cheaper,” she remarked.

Johnson went on to express her belief that blockchain’s efficiency would unlock a wave of new investment opportunities. She even predicted that traditional investment vehicles like ETFs and mutual funds would eventually migrate to blockchain technology.
