Bitstamp is preparing for the implementation of Europe’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) by delisting Tether’s euro-pegged stablecoin, EURT.

The exchange had initially listed EURT in November 2021 but has announced that it will be removing it from its platform before the end of June.

This decision is in line with Bitstamp’s efforts to comply with MiCA, which will take effect on June 30.

EURT, created by Tether in 2021, is a stablecoin pegged to the euro and is significantly smaller in market capitalization compared to the largest stablecoin, USDT, valued at over $110 billion.
