German Government Moves $175M in Bitcoin

According to data from Arkham, the German government has recently transferred 3,000 Bitcoin (equivalent to $175 million) to a few addresses, possibly indicating its intention to sell the assets.

Among the transfers were 1,700 Bitcoins to an address starting with “139Po,” which has yet to be identified by the platform.

Additionally, 500 BTC were sent to a Bitstamp address, 400 BTC to a Coinbase address, and 400 BTC to a Kraken address.

This is part of a series of recent transactions, with the government previously transferring $17.6 million worth of Bitcoin to exchange addresses.

In total, the government has transferred over $300 million worth of Bitcoin to identified exchange addresses and the “139Po” address. Currently, the government holds 40,359 Bitcoin, valued at approximately $2.32 billion.
