OKX Will Cease its Services in Nigeria Next Month

OKX will no longer be providing services in Nigeria starting on August 30.

According to an OKX spokesperson, the exchange is committed to following all applicable rules and regulations in the jurisdictions where it operates and has notified its Nigerian customers of the change due to local laws and regulations.

As a result, customers in Nigeria will no longer be able to access their accounts as of August 30, although their funds will remain safe.

This decision comes after the exchange suspended withdrawals in the Nigerian Naira in May, following increased regulatory scrutiny on other centralized exchanges like Binance.

Binance also discontinued support for the naira in March.
