Reading Time: < 1 minute

According to the Indian government, there are currently no plans to regulate the buying and selling of cryptocurrencies, despite increased efforts to monitor and prevent money laundering and terrorist financing related to these assets.

In a recent parliamentary meeting, Pankaj Chaudhary, the Minister of State in India’s Ministry of Finance, stated that the government has not conducted any research on the adoption of cryptocurrencies among its citizens.

As a result, they do not have any data on these digital assets and they remain unregulated in the country.
