Crypto exchange Bybit has recently obtained a provisional license in Dubai, two years after establishing its headquarters in the city.

The centralized crypto exchange (CEX) has been granted a non-operational license from the Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (VARA).

Bybit’s Chief Operating Officer, Helen Liu, sees this new license as a significant milestone in the company’s global expansion strategy, driven by Dubai’s goal of becoming a leading blockchain hub.

Liu added that Dubai’s advantageous location, progressive policies, and innovation-focused environment provide unprecedented opportunities for businesses and investors in the cryptocurrency sector.

Dubai’s growing reputation as a global hub with crypto-friendly regulations is attracting a growing number of crypto companies to relocate there.
