Celsius Files Appeal Against Order Denying $444M Claim Against FTX

Crypto lending platform Celsius, which recently collapsed, has filed a notice of appeal against Judge John T. Dorsey’s ruling in its ongoing bankruptcy case.

The judge had previously denied Celsius’ claims for damages against FTX, a company accused of making disparaging statements that contributed to Celsius’ downfall.

Celsius had initially sought $2 billion in damages but later revised its claim to focus on preferential transfers, seeking $444 million in damages. However, Judge Dorsey found Celsius’ original proofs of claim to be insufficient and disallowed both claims.

Now, Celsius’ litigation administrator, Mohsin Meghji, has filed a notice of appeal challenging the judge’s ruling.
