Tether Reveals It Holds $120B in US Treasuries

Tether, the issuer of the USDT stablecoin, disclosed nearly $120 billion in total exposure to US Treasuries by the end of March 2025 in its Q1 report.

This figure encompasses both direct and indirect investments, as noted in the quarterly report.

Direct holdings in US Treasuries amounted to $99 billion, with the rest stemming from indirect exposure via money market funds and reverse repurchase agreements.

Additionally, Tether reported generating over $1 billion in operating profit from traditional investments during the first quarter.
