Wintermute Opens an Office in New York
Wintermute, an algorithmic crypto trading and market-making firm from London, has launched a New York office to expand into the US.
The announcement came on May 15, highlighting favorable regulatory conditions in the world’s largest economy.
“With the US becoming more supportive of digital assets and institutional adoption growing, we quickly established our New York City presence,” the company stated in a post, emphasizing its role in shaping future regulations.
Wintermute’s CEO, Evgeny Gaevoy, expressed enthusiasm for growth in the US market, noting, “As a neutral expert in digital assets, we are poised to share our expertise on Capitol Hill.”
To support this expansion, Wintermute appointed Ron Hammond as head of policy and advocacy, bringing a decade of experience in crypto policy on Capitol Hill.
