Meta Shareholders Crush Bitcoin Treasury Proposal in Landslide Vote

A proposal urging Meta to consider Bitcoin for its treasury was overwhelmingly rejected, securing just 3.92 million supporting votes (0.08%) against nearly 5 billion opposed.

The measure, introduced by Strive’s Bitcoin director Ethan Peck, argued that Meta’s $72 billion cash position loses value due to inflation. However, with CEO Mark Zuckerberg holding 61% of voting power, the outcome was hardly surprising.

Peck pointed to BlackRock’s endorsement of a 2% Bitcoin allocation, but shareholders—and likely Zuckerberg—were unconvinced.
