US House Moves Crypto Bills Forward
Major crypto legislation is one step closer to becoming law after the House advanced three bills late Wednesday.
The GENIUS Act, Clarity Act, and Anti-CBDC bill will now face a full House vote as soon as Thursday, following the passage of H.Res 580 (217-212).
The GENIUS Act, which cleared the Senate last month, could soon head to President Trump for final approval, establishing the first federal stablecoin rules. Meanwhile, the Clarity Act clarifies SEC and CFTC jurisdiction over digital assets, while the Anti-CBDC bill prevents the Fed from launching a digital dollar for public use.
The bills’ revival comes after initial GOP opposition over CBDC concerns—now resolved. Traders are watching closely as regulatory clarity looms.
