SEC Hits Pause on Trump’s Truth Social Bitcoin ETF, Extends Deadline to September

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The SEC has delayed its verdict on the Trump-backed Truth Social Bitcoin ETF, extending the decision window to September 18.

The move comes as the regulator also pushes back rulings on Grayscale’s Solana Trust and a Litecoin ETF.

SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce, known as “Crypto Mom,” recently warned of slower approvals, citing litigation and regulatory hurdles. However, compared to the decade-long wait for the first Bitcoin ETF, today’s delays are relatively minor.

The proposed ETF, tied to Trump Media & Technology Group, would trade on NYSE Arca if approved.
