LayerZero Deploys Permissionless PYUSD0 to 7 Chains in Major Omnichain Expansion

LayerZero has executed a significant expansion of PayPal’s PYUSD stablecoin, deploying it as a permissionless omnichain fungible token (OFT) to seven new networks: Abstract, Aptos, Avalanche, Ink, Sei, Stable, and Tron.

Dubbed “PYUSD0,” this new standard builds on the OFT integration launched last November. It ensures full fungibility and interoperability with native PYUSD on Ethereum and Solana, effectively eliminating liquidity fragmentation.

Existing bridged versions on Berachain (BYUSD) and Flow (USDF) will also upgrade to the new PYUSD0 standard.

David Weber, head of ecosystem for PayPal USD, stated the partnership will “enable PYUSD to reach new markets faster while maintaining compliance and composability from day one.”
