Screenshots Leak of Coinbase’s New Platform for Betting on Real-World Events

A new feature that would let users bet on real-world events appears to be in development at Coinbase. Leaked screenshots, shared by researcher Jane Manchun Wong, show a fully-branded Coinbase prediction market platform.
The interface suggests users will be able to wager on categories like politics, sports, and economics using traditional dollars or the crypto stablecoin USDC.
According to the leaks, the service will be powered “through Kalshi,” a regulated prediction market, and operated by Coinbase’s financial markets division.
This would allow Coinbase to offer the controversial product within an existing regulatory structure. The leak confirms the company’s clear interest in tapping into the rapidly growing prediction market trend.
