Bitstamp has started to make repayments to creditors of Mt. Gox, as the cryptocurrency exchange has received all the funds owed to them from the trustee.

The repayment process began on July 25 with the distribution of Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, and Ether to the creditors.

According to an announcement, the recipients should have full control over their assets within a week after necessary security controls are completed.

Despite the unfortunate incident with Mt. Gox, the value of Bitcoin has only increased, highlighting its resilience as an asset.

Global CEO of Bitstamp, Jean-Baptiste Graftieaux, expressed the exchange’s pride in helping to make the Mt. Gox investors whole again.
