Reddit May Add NFT Profile Pictures

World-wide known social network Reddit is allegedly testing NFT profile pictures on its platform just a week after Twitter did the same.

Reddit, which had about 430 million monthly users last year, is working on a NFT profile picture feature that, if launched, would allow users to use NFTs as profile pictures.

Reddit spokesperson Tim Rathschmidt has said in an Interview with Techcrunch:

“We’re always exploring ways to provide value for users and communities on Reddit. At the moment we’re testing the ability to use NFTs as profile pictures (avatars) and verify ownership. Is a small, internal test and no decisions have been made about expanding or rolling out the capability.”

An app developer posted earlier this week a banner from Reddit promoting the new feature.
