Thailand’s Authorities Put Their Eyes on Crypto Exchange Zipmex

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Thai cryptocurrency exchange Zipmex announced the suspension of withdrawals last week. After that, local regulators drew attention to the problems of the trading platform and started consultations with its clients, who were affected by the shutdown.

The Thai Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is now collecting information on the affected traders.

The press service of the regulator has said that Zipmex clients can post an appeal or other information that they know about the problems of the crypto exchange on the official website of the SEC.

At the end of June, the platform introduced a temporary ban on withdrawals. The regulator has not only started accepting applications from investors, but is also developing a system to protect affected users of the exchange.
