Blockchain.com Receives Preliminary Permission to Operate in Dubai

Crypto wallet exchange and operator Blockchain.com has received preliminary approval from the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) to operate in the country.

According to Reuters, the company will open an office in the region and start recruiting.

The head of Blockchain.com Peter Smith has retweeted the news.

The official account of the exchange has also posted a post with the phrase: “Get ready, we are going to #Dubai.”

The exchange has previously announced the dismissal of about 150 employees and the reduction in salaries of top managers due to the need to compensate for financial losses and the current adverse market conditions.
