Finnish Company LocalBitcoins Closes its Business

P2P platform LocalBitcoins has announced it is suspending its services due to the crypto winter, representatives of the company have said.
According to the statement:
“We encourage all customers to withdraw their funds from LocalBitcoins.”
The users of the service will have 12 months for this procedure, but the company has asked to complete the withdrawal as soon as possible.
The platform stopped registering new users yesterday, and from February 16 it will suspend trading and the ability to use wallets, except for the withdrawal of assets.
The company has noted:
“After February 17, 2023, LocalBitcoins customers will only be able to log in to withdraw their bitcoins. From now on, trading and wallet services will no longer be available.”
