Flare is Airdropping $714M in FLR Tokens
4.279 billion FLR tokens of the Flare project were credited on January 9 to “millions of users” who met certain criteria, including holding at least 1 XRP at the time of the December 12, 2020 snapshot.
This marked the launch of the Flare blockchain token airdrop, with 24.2 billion FLR tokens estimated to be worth around $714 million to be distributed over 36 monthly rounds.
This includes 676 million FLR to be distributed each month, except for the last one which will consist of 584.76 FLR.
Users can claim their tokens either through a wallet on the Flare Portal, through the BiFrost Wallet application, or by setting up an auto-application or smart contract on the project website.
This airdrop follows the planned Arbitrum second-level Ethereum network airdrop for March 23, which will be followed by the transition of the project to a decentralized management model.
