Vitalik Buterin: The Independent Storage of Cryptocurrencies is Essential

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has advocated for self-storage of digital assets, posting on Reddit about the best ways to do so.

He has mentioned the benefits of using a multisig wallet, such as less personal responsibility for the security system and the risk of losing funds in the event of a centralized structure’s collapse.

According to him, he himself and the Ethereum Foundation use such a wallet, and he suggested that custodians be tested and selected based on their need for reliability and speed in accessing funds.

This idea has been echoed by other prominent figures in the crypto space, such as Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao and former MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor.
