US Presidential Candidate Robert Kennedy Gives Support to Bitcoin
Robert Francis Kennedy Jr., the 35th President of the United States’ nephew and participant in the current election race, has promised to defend citizens’ right to freely own and use the first cryptocurrency.
Kennedy believes that Bitcoin is “a bulwark against totalitarianism and manipulation of our money supply” which points to creating a future with more transparency and democracy.
He has also promised to make decisions that support individuals’ bitcoin ownership, and to create a simple regulatory environment with only “strict control to prevent money laundering.”
Kennedy further calls Bitcoin “a symbol of democracy and freedom” and has accepted donations of it in May, in addition to criticizing US regulators for the “war on cryptocurrencies” which has caused a banking crisis.
