Hackers Steal $23M in Cryptocurrencies from Alphapo

More than $23 million worth of digital assets from Alphapo‘s hot wallets were stolen by unknown individuals, as reported by ZachXBT, an on-chain researcher.

Ether tokens, Tron tokens, and an unconfirmed amount of Bitcoin were taken.

HypeDrop, one of Alphapo’s customers, closed down their withdrawal transactions in order to keep their funds secure.

It is thought that private keys were leaked, as Cyvers Alerts detected a total of seven transactions sent to attackers for a total value of $100 million.

This year, the cryptocurrency industry has endured a total of 395 hacks, with an amount of $479.4 million lost as a result.
