Coinbase, a well-known cryptocurrency exchange based in the US, has signed an agreement to acquire Zabo, a startup offering its clients an API that allows them to connect to cryptocurrency exchanges, wallets and protocols.

While the official announcement has already been made, the financial terms of the agreement, which is expected to be closed in the coming weeks, have not yet been disclosed.

Zabo has pointed out that Coinbase is more interested in the acquisition of the products than on the company’s employees.

Barry Silbert, an investor who has put money both into Coinbase and Zabo, has said that the startup’s API allows devs to connect to more than 1,000 different protocols and accounts.

This is not the only acquisition made by the company this yer. In January 2021 Coinbase bought blockchain infrastructure solution provider Bison Trails.
