Cardano (ADA) has jumped by 18.4% over the past day and has updated its all-time high. At the moment, the coin is trading above $2.5.

ADA currently ranks third in the ranking of largest cryptocurrencies by capitalization on CoinMarketCap with a capitalization of $80.8 billion. According to CoinGecko, its closest competitor, Binance Coin (BNB), has a capitalization of $66.1 billion.

The Cardano Foundation has previously presented a development plan for the next five years. By 2026, the organization wants to grow the platform’s ecosystem user base to $1 billion.

The founder of the project, Charles Hoskinson, announced earlier this month the imminent disclosure of the launch date for smart contracts as part of the Alonzo update.
