The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) has reported crypto exchange operator OKEx has violated the local securities law.

According to the agency, Aux Cayes Fintech, a Seychelles-based company, offers residents of the Canadian region access to crypto products considered as securities and derivatives through the OKEx platform.

At the same time, the OSC claims the company does not comply with legal requirements regarding registration and disclosure of information.

We should remember that the regulator notified in March 2021 crypto trading companies and platforms of the need to comply with local regulations.
