The US division of the crypto exchange Binance has announced it has appointed Sidney Majalya as its Chief Risk Officer.

Majalya will report directly to Binance.US President Brian Schroeder, who took over the division back in September 2021. Majalya said:

“Binance.US is deeply committed to compliance and our priority is to maintain and develop our compliance and risk management organization.”

He has previously led important departments at Oracle and Uber. Since 2019, he has served as Vice President of Legal Affairs and Chief Compliance Officer for Intel Corporation.

We should remember that Binance.US hired in April Brian Brooks, former head of the Treasury Comptroller’s Office of the Treasury Department, as CEO. In July, he left the company, citing “different views on strategic direction of development” as the reasons for his departure.
