The Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin thinks the return of the so-called “crypto winter” to the market will have a positive impact on the long-term development of the industry.
In an interview with Bloomberg, he has said that the cooling of investor activity will reportedly lead to the fact that part of the capital will leave dubious projects. Buterin has stressed:
“People who are deeply immersed in the crypto sphere and develop projects, many of them welcome the bear market. They welcome the bear market, because when prices move up for a long time, speculators begin to enter the market, interested in maintaining sharp volatility.”
The previous “crypto winter” was observed in 2018. Then, almost all speculators left the market, and the industry itself became more mature.
With the resumption of the rally in 2020, speculators again massively rushed into the crypto sphere.
