The largest stablecoin Tether (USDT) has a capitalization of more than $81.375 billion.
This digital asset is hosted on multiple blockchains. Most of them are issued on Tron and Ethereum – $40.735 billion and $39.817 billion, respectively. However, the USDT supply on the Avalanche blockchain has recently exceeded $351 million at the end of March.
According to Bitfinex and Tether CTO Paolo Ardoino, over the past few days, the Avalanche platform has seen a sharp rise in USDT tokens.
In terms of supply of stablecoins, this network ranks fifth after Tron, Ethereum, Solana and Omni.
Tether’s closest competitor is USD Coin (USDC), a stablecoin which is also pegged to the US dollar. Its offer is just over $51.945 billion.
