Payments company Visa has just launched a non-fungible token (NFT) business development education program.
According to The Block, the initiative, which has been originally designed to last for a year, is aimed at artists, musicians, fashion designers and filmmakers.
Cuy Sheffield, head of crypto at Visa, has said that the company wants to get a better understanding of the prospects and challenges that the creators of non-fungible tokens face. In addition, Visa also hopes to understand the role that NFTs can play in monetizing their work.
The program will ultimately help Visa develop its own commercial NFT-related products.
Whereas Visa still has not made a decision on how many authors will have access to this program, Sheffield expects the group to be small to build community and support technical mentoring.
