Mining Firm Hut 8 Purchases 960 MicroBT Miners from TAAL

Canada-based mining company Hut 8 Mining has entered into an agreement with TAAL to host and acquire its 960 MicroBT Whatsminer M31S+ miners, according to the press release shared by the company.

Bitcoin mining equipment is operated in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. The deal will reportedly increase the Hut 8 hashrate by 81 PH/s, to 2.62 EH/s.

As per the press release, the agreement will enter into force on May 1. As of December 31, the company’s computing power was 2 EH/s.

Last year, Hut 8 mined 2,786 BTC and increased revenue by 327%, to 173.8 million CAD.
