Crypto Exchange Bitstamp Appoints a New CEO

Cryptocurrency exchange Bitstamp has confirmed Julian Sawyer has resigned as the company’s CEO and that his post will be taken by Jean-Baptiste Graftieaux.

In October last year, Sawyer replaced Neich Kodrich as CEO of the exchange. According to the press release shared by the company, after 18 months on the post, he has “decided to pursue other opportunities.”

According to his LinkedIn profile, from November 2014 to February 2016, Graftier served as Director of Compliance for Bitstamp. In 2021, after working for eBay for 5 years, he returned as CEO of the exchange for the European region.
