Crypto exchange Binance received on May 24 a category 4 digital asset service provider license from the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB).
According to the announcement, the approval of the regulator will allow the company to offer consumers “a full range of services for the exchange of crypto assets.”
MENA Regional Director Richard Tan has said:
“Obtaining a Category 4 license in the Kingdom of Bahrain is a landmark achievement for Binance and further demonstrates our commitment to being a compliance-focused company.”
The CBB granted the exchange a license to operate as a crypto service provider back in March.
Binance has also received a license in Dubai and approval in principle from the Abu Dhabi Global Market Financial Services Authority as a digital asset broker-dealer.
