E-commerce platform Shopify will offer merchants new ways to engage with loyal customers using NFTs.
According to the company, users can connect crypto wallets to shops on the platform to prove ownership of certain tokens. This opportunity will give them access to participation in pre-sales and exclusive goods in the future.
The option has been previously tested in beta mode among a selected group of merchants.
The company provided in 2021 a limited number of merchants with the opportunity to sell NFTs directly, without the involvement of third parties.
We should remember that Shopify is integrating the Lightning Network through a partnership with Strike.
