85% of Merchants Believe BTC Payments Attract Customers

According to a study conducted news aggregator PYMNTS and processing service Bitpay, 84.8% of merchants taking part in the study believe paying with cryptocurrencies has become a way to expand their customer base.

81.5% of respondents cited the ability to eliminate intermediaries as the reason for adding this capability, whereas 59.6% of merchants indicated the convenience of using cryptocurrencies in cross-border transactions.

In addition, 42.1% of respondents have noted a decrease in transaction costs. According to researchers, commissions when paying with digital assets are about 1% against the industry standard of 1.5-3.5%.

Technical difficulties remain an obstacle to the implementation of crypto payments, according to 67.9% of respondents.
