The French Financial Markets Authority (AMF) has registered cryptocurrency platform Crypto.com as a provider of digital assets.
Prior to this, the platform had received approval from the Prudential Control Authority (ACPR) after reviewing AML/CTF procedures.
The company CEO Kris Marszalek has commented:
“The European market is critical to the long-term growth and success of Crypto.com.”
The AMF, with the consent of ACPR, had previously issued a license for a provider of digital assets to the Binance bitcoin exchange.
Crypto.com is licensed to operate in Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Singapore, Dubai and the UK.
