Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has said the company might purchase assets of crypto exchange FTX, in particular, its business-oriented units.
Recall that FTX Group filed for bankruptcy under Chapter 11 of the US Bankruptcy Code on November 11. The group consists of about 130 entities.
Ripple’s CEO has said FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried called him when he was trying to raise financing to save the business.
He said:
“Part of our conversation was that if he wanted liquidity, there were probably companies that he owned that we would want to acquire. Would we buy some of them? I definitely think we would consider it.”
